Spring Contemporary Art Contest Juror: Steven Borts, Director and Curator of The Light Gallery in Costa Mesa, is the selected judge for the 2009 Contemporary Art Contest. Borts focuses on creating contemporary exhibitions and featuring up and coming artists. His gallery constantly receives recognition for being cutting edge. Borts was recently interviewed by Ruth la Ferla of the New York Times alongside Amy Cappellazzo from Christies and curator Andrea Salerno for his inventive curatorial approach, which has caught the attention of other gallery directors in the area who have followed suit.
