History
My Art Contest was created in Dec of 2007 as a way for artists to gain international exposure and to bridge the gap between artists, collectors and dealers around the world. Since then, My Art Contest has awarded thousands of dollars to support artist’s endeavors across the US and abroad. In recent years, the art world has seen a surge of online art contests. We are proud to be one of the original international juried online art contests. online art contests.
Mission
Our mission is to support artist endeavors through cash prizes and recognition. Our goal is help emerging and established artists gain recognition, web presence and success. We hope to give every artist who enters My Art Contest the ability to reach a larger audience so we post every entry online for the duration of the contest. We also feature a gallery of past winners and strive to hold a variety of high caliber art contests.
Beginning in 2010, our winner's will also be published in our new digital magazine. Our magazine will be distributed to over 7500 art galleries, art collectors and interior designers across the US and major cities around the World. Our goal is to give each winner of My Art Contest unparalleled exposure, and to see past winners of My Art Contest embark on, or continue, to live a fulfilling life as an artist.
Community
A portion of the proceeds from each art contest goes to a distinct charity or non-profit organization. We believe in giving back to the community and to those in need and are happy to announce that we have given away hundreds of dollars to a variety of organizations including, Nothing but Nets, Save Darfur, Surfrider Foundation, Urban Promise, Arts for Humanity and more.
