Artist Statement:

I have always been an artist. I believe art was what I was made to do. As a child, I doodled rocket ships, monster trucks, and cartoons, but I as a matured, so did my art. Into high school, I discovered a knack for working with pencil; however, my senior year in high school revealed my true potential in art. An introductory class to painting was the first time I used color, brushes, acrylics, oils, and watercolors. The education changed me and my art forever. Now attending university, my art has only matured more - in subject, in application, and in media. I have come to incorporate many media into one piece, using paints, pens, pencils, charcoal, collage, photos, etc. in each new piece. My art is a collaboration between previous artistic adventures and experiences. My art is ever expanding, looking for new opportunities to incorporate and assimilate new approaches, collaborations, media, and skills in future ventures.
