Artist Statement:

Iconoclast. Raconteur. Philosopher.

Bio: The Readers Digest Version

Female. Raised in the 60s in the San Francisco Bay Area, which explains a lot about why I like the word iconoclast. Iconoclast.

Education: Self Taught, but did attend some college. My philosophy is to not let the institutions get in the way of my education, so don't let the lack of a formal credential fool you.

Have called Los Angeles home since 1980. One of the few who actually admit to liking this place.

Introduced to the Mac in 1987 as a design and publishing tool. Since then the love affair with pixels continues to evolve, like a good marriage.

Under the influence of a Sixties, latch-key kid youth, the musings of Stephen King and Hunter S. Thompson, Warhol, Lichtenstein, Speed Racer, television commercials, consumer product marketing, Mad Magazine and Eastern philosophy.

Love a good pun. Love to marry words with images. If I can tell a complete succinct story with as little "stuff" as possible, I've achieved success. I embrace fringe and difficult subjects with beauty, grace and simplicity. Sometimes it comes off as a cartoonesque innocence. But be warned, the image isn't always as innocent as it seems.
