Artist Statement:

I am a complicated thinker.A model turned actress, turned author, turned artist. An out of box sense of style all my own. I am an adventurist at heart always seeking her next challenge. My artistic jouney began approxiimately five years ago seven months after my mother passed away at my son's welcome home party from Iraq.

I sincerely believe that God knew I needed a new chapter in my life. The art started in my heart and soul and traveled down my arm through my fingers onto paper. I have been blessed with this incredible talent. Lifes' experiences are my inspiration. Most artists have a niche, mime is a never ending jouney that has span abstract, surrealism, realism, figurative, and architecture. I paint masks, vases, coffee cups, canvases and wood, just about anything that will hold the paint. I use various glues and acrylic gets to produce different textures and surfaces.

I eventurally want to use my art to benefit abused and molested children. In addition I am writing a book on an undiscovered art movement that I want to initiate. Salvador Dali. Pablo Picasso, and Wassily Kandinsky are favorites of mine.

Exhibitions/Awards:

I won "Best in Class" for drawing on September 10, 2005, at an Omaha Remembers 9-11 art exhibit. My Angels of 9/11 picture won the award. I drew and painted this picture as a dedication to my son, my hero who survived not one, but two tours in Iraq. And as a dedication to the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of our wonderful country.
